Ossana Cusiano Fucine

Ossana is located on a slight slope, near which the Val di Pejo predstavljajo in Val di Sole, with a broad view of both valleys. They are part of the municipality of Ossana fractions of Cusiano, place just over a valley, and Fucine, both crossed by the highway leading to Passo del Tonale. Svettano throughout the country, the culmination of a rocky outcrop, the ruins of the ancient castle of St. Michele, whose existence is known even before 1200. Behind the country winds close road to the nearby Val Piana, a quiet mountainous area surrounded by green woods, the ideal starting point for walks or just demanding real mountain excursions.
The church dedicated to St. Ossana Vigil is the oldest of all the high valley, built around 1180 was rebuilt in 1500 and restored 300 years later. Another church dedicated to St. Antonio in more recent times (1700), is located on a small promontory just outside the village on the road leading to Cusiano.
From the side of a road salt cape adorned with the ancient capitals of the Cross dates back to 1733, at the end of which a few decades ago was made a small monument in memory of an air disaster occurred in 1956 on Mount Giner.
