Monclassico is a country of very ancient origins, dominated from the church dedicated to St. Vigilio overlooking the whole village, located near the old road that leads to Presson, the only fraction of the municipality. Next to the church halls the old road, travelled up a few years ago to reach the small towns of Bolentina and Montès time being also part of the municipality of Monclassico and now passed to the nearby town of Malè.

Remarkable in the last 20-30 years, the increase in housing that has seen a significant expansion of the country around the historic old town, both to the east, towards Croviana, to the west, becoming one with the fraction of Presson.

The economy of the country once totally based on recently was partly converted into tourist. This is because Monclassico is located near the ski resorts of Folgarida and Marilleva both reached in a matter of minutes.
